Supplemental Petition to Modify Parenting Plan / Time Sharing & Other Relief

I filed this petition last Friday with the Court. I'm not quite sure what "Other Relief" means? I assumed it included increasing child support, but do I need to file a Petition for Supplemental Child Support and request or will that automatically be covered under the original petition?

Also, I filed a motion for temporary support while waiting judgment of the petition. Do I require mediation prior to setting the hearing for this motion? If so, how do I get my ex to comply?

Dear Anonymous,

The Other Relief section pertains to anything else you would like the court to include or modify in regard to the original order.

Modifying your child support amount is one the most common requests in the other relief section of the Supplemental Petition to Modify Parenting Plan / Time Sharing & Other Relief form.

As long as you have also completed the supporting forms for this supplemental petition, your request will be heard by the court.

As to your second question regarding mediation, the court will rule as to whether mediation is required, but does not preclude you from pursuing mediation on your own. That is, of course, if the respondent is also agreeable to mediation.
