Eviction Rent Dispute

by Bryan from Lake Worth, Florida

Eviction Rent Dispute Question: My landlord just gave me a 3 day notice. The amount that he said that I owe is completely off. I really need to find a place that I can get the "Motion to determine rent" form. Please help!!! Thank you for your time in this matter.

Answer to Florida Court Forms Question

Dear Bryan

If you were served with an Eviction Notice you must file an Answer with the clerk of court immediately.

If you do not file an answer and send a copy to the landlord and his attorney, the landlord will have a default judgement entered.

If that happens, there is very little you can do stop the eviction.

You can construct an answer using the format as shown in our Civil Answer page or something similar.

Be sure to explain the rent discrepancy in the numbered paragraph where it appears in the original complaint.
