Answering Petitions:Question on answering petitions and counter-petitions. Once I have filed an "answer" & counter petition (for divorce) & the (original) petitioner has filed an "answer" to my answer (& counter petition), must I respond to his answer?

I believe, at this point, either party can enter a Motion for Hearing. Otherwise the answers back and forth could go on forever. You could file an Answer and a Motion for Hearing in the same pleading, because at some point your issues need to be settled.
